Cole Haan - Isolation Monthly Concepts
The world may be changing, so we’re all on our toes and ready to go. Traditional productions are on pause for now, but there are still some really fun things we can do to leverage Cole Haan’s range of products to create some eye-catching content.
Unstill Life - Animated Studio Shots
In this series we can utilize green screen, clever engineering mechanisms and post-production techniques to bring products to life. These animations can play to design features, seasons or pop culture. Much like the Rally Campaign in 2019, we can also pair these with copy and props to create more dimension. As an added bonus we can always repurpose these assets for future snackable content opportunities and e-commerce integrations.
Below are a few technical concepts to emphasize the high fidelity we can achieve entirely from my home studio.
Feetures - Lifestyle moments from the ankle down
Much like our typical monthly shoots, these shorts will focus on a single product and feature through a motion shot. The aim is to be as elegant as possible. We will reduce our dependencies on talent and leverage feet and ankles within our own quarantine pods. A video could be as simple as a loop of someone walking up steps, feet jogging by, an item being pulled out of a bag or a zipper going up and down. With products that don’t focus on feet, we can be strategic in the way we film them to minimize focus on human talent.
Additionally we could create a series of lifestyle moments that feature no talent at all — a set of GrandPrø Tennis Sneakers propped up on a tennis court as a ball bounces by, Cloudfeel Weekend Loafers sitting on a dock where the water reflects the sky or a pair of ZERØGRAND Sunglasses in the sand as a time-lapse sunset goes by.
Here are a few samples of repurposed content from our past projects together to illustrate the general feel of these pieces.
Inspiration - Work from other Artists
The series below all involve techniques that are achievable in the smaller footprint we need to work within these days. I would love to use some of the pieces below as inspiration once we begin to drive into more specific products while still maintaining a Cole Haan aesthetic.
